Rhymes Without Reason #1

When a farmer so carelessly threw
Dynamite in the pig sty, it blew.
When neighbors inquired
What had transpired,
He summed it by saying, "Swine Flew."

Inflation ... you cannot deny
Has sent meat prices sky high.
One guy it won't harm
Owns a big piggy farm
It's his private gold mine in the sty.

A Henderson bandman called Skitch,
And a Miller song leader named Mitch,
Were musicians of note,
With beards like a goat,
And both got disgustinly rich.

A bad-breathed farmer near Flint,
Sought to disguise it with mint.
But it peeled nearby paint,
Caused his brood sow to faint,
And turned most of his sheep's wool to lint.

A horse dealer on buying spree,
Bought up every breed he could see.
He asked a man from Tuscaloosa,
"How can I get and Appaloosa?"
And he drawled, "I guess shake the tree."
