Joe Berry

Joe Berry was born in on August 3rd 1951 in Waycross, Georgia son of Bill and Helen Berry. Joe has played in numerous country bands over the years. The 70's Joe had a band called Joe Berry and The Country Tradition but as bands sometimes do found the members going in different directions though remaining friends.

In the 80's Joe joined a couple of show bands with the first being Jill Pierce and Appaloosa and the other being "Dixie Road". Joe's main goal was to be a Nashville Recording artist so he moved in that direction.

He now has the band Joe Berry and The Berry Pickers one of the best bands in Traditional Country Music today. He has hopes of mainstream radio play again and to step out on the stage of The Grand Ole Opry. Joe has been blessed with the friendship of Grand Ole Opry Stars Ernie Ashworth and Charlie Louvin and tours occasionally with them.

He writes songs also with his brother from another mother and fellow hall of fame inductee Colonel Robert Morris known as the "Man With The Golden Pen". He also writes on occasion with another good friend Don Goodman the writer of a number 13 country music record for Joe Berry in 1994 called "Someday You'll Look Back".

You can keep up with Joe Berry and The Berry Pickers schedule by going to www.joeberryandtheberrypickers.com. He is honored to be an inductee in the Traditional Country Hall Of Fame with so many fine artist and legends. Thank you Colonel for nominating me and Bob Timmers for making all this possible.
